When this service can help
Repeated blockages, a visible broken connection or defects identified by CCTV can all lead to a drain repair. Tell us about previous work, any recent building activity and the symptoms that prompted the enquiry. Smells, damp or ground changes can have other causes, so we investigate rather than assuming the drain is responsible.
Common causes
Damage may involve cracks, fractures, leaking joints, displacement or deterioration of the pipe itself. Roots can enter through openings and add to the problem. The appropriate repair depends on where the damage is, its extent and whether the pipe retains a usable route and shape. That cannot be established from a price list alone.
How we solve it
We review the accessible drainage and any existing survey information. Where appropriate, CCTV helps locate visible defects and assess the surrounding pipe. We also consider the ground or building above it, entry points and nearby services when planning the work. Your quotation should explain what has been inspected and what remains uncertain. An accessible connection may be repaired or replaced locally. A suitable internal defect may be addressed with a patch, while a longer affected run may be considered for CIPP lining. Excavation provides access where the pipe is collapsed, misaligned or otherwise unsuitable for a no-dig option. We explain the proposed method and any surface reinstatement included.
